TOFU confectionery

Soft ice cream containing tofu and milk. It is produced by a store specializing in boiled tofu. You can buy one on the way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple.

Talk with an apprentice geisha(舞妓はん), with a glass of green-tea in my hand. Kimono, hair-pin and hair-style show us her career as a geisha. Summery blue Kimono is cool-looking.

after Sushi

I had Temari-zushi(手毬寿司). They were smaller than general Sushi and looked like Japanese traditional handball. After Sushi a bracken-starch dumpling with powdered green tea(抹茶わらび餅) was served.

Gyuuhi, a kind of rice cake made by kneading, and red bean pastes are sandwiched by folded Kasutera. Used a plover as a subject, it is named "Chidori-Yaki(ちどりやき)".

Fu-manjuu on Kutani ware

I called on my good senior and his family with fu-manjuu(麩饅頭). My senior send me this photo with thank-you letter. Fu-manjuu, which is made from nama-fu(生麩) and red bean jam, is wrapped in a bamboo leaf.
