greeting(ご挨拶)

Having gone various shops around Kyoto since my high school years, now I'm already in my 30s. As I've ever away from Kyoto, I come to live in Kyoto again by chance.

Probably in my second grade year of high school, having tea or sweets at cafe started to be in fashion. For all that few people of my generation jumped on the bandwagon, trying to appear like a grown-up, I enjoyed going to a cafe.

Introducing fine cafes often made someone glad. And their good comments caused me want to go to look for another nice stores. Over 10 years have past, it's an unchanged fun that my introduction of favorite shops please my friends.

So I wanted to let many people know about goodness of Kyoto indeed, but on the other hand, it was true that I did't like the crowd of Kyoto in tourist season, and thought "I wish Kyoto would be uncrowded anytime." with the unkind sense called 'Ikezu' of which the people in Kyoto owned.

One day some students from Hakodate in school excursions had asked me the way at Karasuma-Oike station. This chance encounter changed my mind. Though It had been only a few minuites I had spent with them, they send me pictures during their school trip. I really feel 'Iki', means they are very thoughtful. And above all, their smiles in the photos looks so happy.

After looked the smiles I began to think that I wanted to introduce Kyoto more and more(to students or adults, to women or men, to elders or juniors), so I started to try writing blogs mainly about confectioneries which many people could enjoy. I hope there will be another  wonderful encounters through this blog!
